About:

The College of Education was founded in 1993 and its original location was within the building of the College of Science. During the 2003-2004 academic year, the College relocated to the site of the previous College of Medicine, which was located within the main campus building.

The College now consists of only the departments of Physics and Mathematics, and there is a plan to establish more scientific departments at the college like (life sciences, chemistry, and computer department).

The College of Education for Pure Sciences aspires to make a qualitative and quantitative development in society in various aspects of scientific, educational, and cultural knowledge, theoretic and applied, and for the college to contribute to addressing the problems faced in Iraq based on research, field studies, experiments, and project design, and to focus on modern education based on a solid scientific foundation and believes that the burdens plaguing the regime in Iraq can be alleviated through research, field studies, experiments.
